#30-1908-IT-SP Application Developer

Experience:    The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience, including a diploma or degree.  Knowledge and practical experience specifically in developing Windows applications using C#/VB.Net, web development using HTML CSS, JavaScript, ASP.Net, C#/VB.Net, relational databases and SQL knowledge (T-SQL, MS SQL Server).  Additional experience in mobile app development (Xamarin/Xamarin Forms) and knowledge of UWP application development is an asset. This position is fulltime and available immediately.

Reports to:      Senior Manager, Information Systems

Based at:         Sherwood Park, AB

Job Purpose:   This position is primarily responsible to develop applications to assist technical staff with field work and report writing using the following programs ASP.NET, .Net Framework, .NET Core, JavaScript).  The duties include the following responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of reliable, high performing and usable windows and web applications.
  • Develop and maintain databases (MS SQL Server).
  • Display initiative in research, proposal and development of tools, technologies and techniques.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to improve computing availability, reliability, efficiency, performance and overall service within the enterprise computing environment.
  • Maintaining legacy Web Forms and Windows Forms applications.
  • Ability to accurately and effectively manage and analyze large volumes of information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively deal with sensitive information.
  • Remain organized with the ability to multitask.
  • Communicate and document new processes and procedures resulting from integrated systems management and services changes within the computing environment.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and
  • perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.
